Compare Energy Prices - The New Green Electricity Supply

To manually compare the energy rates or prices of different utility companies is very exhausting and time consuming job. Going to different utility companies personally to determine prices and rates, or you could use the internet. Electricity and gas have varied market prices; you will want to check on them often. Different energy suppliers have their own websites, with easy access to the internet; you can save money in selecting the best service available in your area for the best prices or rates.

There are websites that compare the different companies in your local country.

When you add solar and wind energy which is hooked up to the companies supply, know as a feed in tariffs they pay you a lower rate than what they sell it back to you at, so just watch this. The best way to examine if your really getting a good deal is to weigh up all the different charges on you bill. While connected to the grid you may not have any power bills because you have enough solar panels or wind turbines to support you usage, but where the energy companies get you, is in the supply charge. This can often be higher than the electricity used. Do a Google search, and see what others in your location think of certain suppliers and how their deals stack up, it wont take much to find a bad supplier and know to avoid them.

Also there are a few forums around that would be worth joining too, search through Google for these too.

If you feel like you are getting ripped off don't hesitate to change companies or think about changing your system to OFF the grid system then to have your own supply. There are cheap ways of doing this too, welcome to ask me how.
